Oregon Public Records
When you need to find specific records in the State of Oregon, it can be an extremely frustrating experience to try to navigate a network of links to focus in on the information that you need. It is so much easier when everything is located in one place so that you can simply click on a link that takes you directly to what you are looking for.
Birth, Death, Marriage and Divorce Records
The Oregon Health Authority website provides a lot of important information and access to certain records including birth certificates, death certificates, marriage records (from 1906 onward) and divorce certificates (from 1925 onward). The site will provide you with all of the information you need including the form to fill out, the fees, the number to call if you want to order by telephone and what your options are for other ordering methods. You can also attend in person at:
800 NE Oregon Street
Room 205, Portland 97232
From Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. You also have the option of submitting your order at a self-service kiosk by 4:30 p.m.
Driving Record Information
When you need to obtain a copy of your driving record, you can navigate to the Oregon DMV. You will see a list of the types of records that are available to you as well as how you can order these records. You must fill out a driving record request form and mail it into the office along with your check or bank draft. Credit cards are not accepted due to the increased cost of merchant’s fees.
Court Records
The Oregon Judicial Department website is where you can find a wide variety of information regarding all levels of court in the State of Oregon. This is a paid site that you must register for. You do have the option of navigating to each county’s individual court website and making contact with the court to find information. For example, you can view the Lane Country Circuit Court website to see what we mean.
Property Records
The Oregon Department of Revenue has a Property Tax division that provides a website that can give you access to the property information that you are looking for. If you want other types of property information, you will need to access the individual county website of the area that you reside in. Here is a map of the counties. You just need to click on a county to be taken directly to that county’s website.
Sex Offender Registry
The State of Oregon provides access to an online sex offender registry at this web address. You must agree to the terms of use on the face page to enter the website. Once you access the site, you can search for sex offenders by putting in their personal data, including name, date of birth or age range, weight, height, sex, race, hair color, eye color and location information – street address, city, zip code. Once you have put the information in, you will be able to view the record of that individual.
