Utah Public Records
The State of Utah makes it simple for anyone to gain access to the public records that they are looking for. Whether you need to order a birth or death certificate, locate information regarding a divorce decree, find a marriage record or locate property tax information, many websites allow you to simple fill out information on a website and pay via credit card to obtain the document or information.
Birth, Death, Marriage and Divorce Records

You can also apply in person at the Salt Lake City office for your vital records located at 288 North 1460 West, Salt Lake City, Utah. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The phone number is (801) 538, 6105.
Driving Record Information
You can order your driving record through the Utah Department of Public Safety website.
You will have to certify that you are ordering your own personal driving record and not someone else’s. You also have to provide personal information including your Social Security Number in order to obtain the record. You can also attend at a local driver licensing branch to obtain your driving record if that is preferable to you. If you are applying for a job and need the record immediately, you may want to attend in person or you will have to wait up to three weeks to receive your record in the mail.
Court Records
The Utah State Courts have a website where you can search for a variety of court cases. You will need some specific information, such as the names of the parties and the county where the case was started. Some information is only available if you personally attend at a court location. Cases are also searchable online at the web address listed above.
Property Records
Here is a link to a list of Utah’s counties. From there you can click on the individual county where the property is located. This will take you to the county website where you can find data on a specific property. You are going to need some information about the property to input into the search box.
Sex Offender Registry
The Utah Department of Corrections provides a Sex Offender Registry which lists all of the known sex offenders who are registered in the State of Utah. You can search the site in a variety of ways. You must agree to not misuse the data that you obtain from the site before you can access the site and conduct a search. You can register for email alerts if you want to be kept apprised of the movements of offenders within the State and in your local area.
