Birth and Death Certificates

If you need to order a birth certificate, you can hit the North Dakota Department of Health web site where you will find links to ordering a birth certificate and a death certificate. As of January 1, 2008, you must provide proof of your identity if you request a birth record. You must be the individual, one of the parents of the individual or you need legal documentation to prove that you are entitled to order the birth record. The form to fill out is located on this website.

Death records can also be ordered but you must read the instructions carefully and provide adequate identification. Here is the request form.

You need to go to the North Dakota Department of Transportation Website to access this information. You need a credit card to order the driving record. If you have any problems with your request, you can call the Drivers License Division at: (701) 328-2600.

Sex Offender Registry

The State of North Dakota and the Office of the Attorney General have an official sex offender website.

The site is simple to navigate. Start clicking on the various links and the information comes up immediately. If you don't know the name of the person, each letter that you click on shows a list of offenders along with their mug shot. You can click on each individual to read more, including their current location and details of their convictions.
